Welcome

Focusing mainly on engineering & the built environment, the aim of the DART Project was to enhance the experience of disabled students by enabling institutions, faculties, departments, and individual members of staff to assess their current level of provision - in relation to learning and teaching - as it affects disabled students, and by offering clear guidance on how to make the curriculum more accessible.

The DART Project officially ended on December 31st. 2005, having achieved all of the objectives originally set out in the project plan, and agreed with the funding body (HEFCE).

The primary outputs of the project are:

* Twenty-Five student Case Studies. These can be accessed on the 'resources' section of this website.

* The DART Auditing & Diagnostic Tool. This provides access through a searchable database to a wealth of advice and guidance on providing a more accessible curriculum and meeting the needs of disabled students.

The project team are continuing to build upon the successes of this project.

News concerning ongoing activity will be posted on the website ar regular intervals.
